We are the men and women of St. Cloud Fire Rescue, united to protect the rights, safety, and well-being of our members. Through solidarity and advocacy, we ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and the resources our firefighters need to serve our community with excellence.

What We're Working On

Maintaining Safe Staffing

St. Cloud currently has safe staffing levels on our apparatus. We're committed to keeping it that way as the city grows, protecting both firefighter safety and response times for residents.

42-Hour Work Week & Mental Health

Following the direction of HB 929, Florida's firefighter health and safety law, by moving to a 42-hour work week to stay competitive with neighboring departments. The law also puts firefighter mental health front and center, from suicide prevention to peer support, resiliency, and access to care. Reducing fatigue and burnout is part of protecting our members' mental health.

Healthcare Coverage

Navigating the current healthcare provider options, working through unforeseen coverage issues, and pushing back on rising costs for our members and their families.
